The Food and Drug Administration is warning about a counterfeit version of the popular weightloss drug,
Alli, sold online. The drug is usually sold over-the-counter in stores, but the FDA says some of the medication sold on eBay and other online sites is fake.
The agency says tests done by the drug manufacturer found that the bottles sold online did not contain the active ingredient,
orlistat. They say the fake bottle did contain a controlled substance that can interact with other medications.
